Imo - 70% of the horses on the sale are poor - leading to lots of 'not solds' - and if you take away the 5% of 'top lots', it means that the 'middle men' are fighting for 25% of the horses on the sale - resulting in these going for more than they should.

Granted, I always look for the bargain, but on my list of 20 or so, every horse sold for more than I was prepared to pay - and only 3 went for less than double that I was prepared to pay :ohmy:

Philanthropist is one I'd look at closely
