Luca handy and faded out last bit.

One runner at Turfontein Saturday. Almond Sea in race 8. I am puzzled by the choices they make re placing this filly. She is entered for the SA Fillies Sprint next week which one would have expected to be her target race. A hard race today would not help her chances there.

Almond Sea a fair third but still perhaps a few lbs off her best. However, she has now been scratched from the Gr 1 SA Fillies Sprint, which is sad.
All that is left for her this season is the Tibouchina, with questions marks about the trip, and the Post Merchants, which is now only a Gr3.
I did not get my price for her 2025 foal full sister at my sale.

One runner at Kenilworth on Tuesday. Double Dash in race 6. Stopped badly last time when reported a respiratory noise. Hopefully nothing serious. On her best form she should be competitive in an open race, which will be run in testing conditions.

Double Dash well placed but faded beaten 5L.

One runner at Greyville on Wednesday. Golden Angel in race 5. Gets a plum draw and a useful apprentice with a 2.5kg claim. I think this is her best distance, and she has run ok on the poly, even though she may be slightly better on the turf. An open handicap, and many with chances. She has been somewhat disappointing in KZN, but hoping that she can bounce back to her best form- if so she has a winning chance.

Pleasing win by Golden Angel, and well ridden by the youngster.

One runner at Scottsville on Saturday. Kaalvoet gets promoted to the Golden Horse Sprint. He is a bit under sufferance, but he is an improving young horse and comes off a good last win at this track. This race is wide open and very few can be ruled out. It's a big jump in class but with a low weight he must have a shout.

Very good run by Kaalvoet- fastest finisher and 4th but only half a length behind the winner.

Warrior Of Destiny ran at Kenilworth on Sunday and much. Improved over the longer trip 4th beaten 2L in what looked quite a smart field.

One runner at Greyville on Wednesday. Floral Kingdom in race 2. She ran a much improved race at her second start and further improvement expected. We didn’t want to go to the poly but little choice with the program. Not the best of draws, but she is fit and well and if she takes to the poly she is a serious contender. Her main rivals all also make their poly debuts. Liz Hurley, Sei Bella and Lady Jerome must all be respected. I think they should fill the quartet although one or two others that could run into minor money if any of theses fluff their lines on the surface.

Floral Kingdom handled the poly fine, but was too far out her ground. Flew late to get 3rd. The winner was very well ridden from a wide gate. A shock in 2nd. The other 2 fancied fillies ran 4th and 5th.
Both the 1200m races were run at a good clip and not much between the two races.
Our filly is looking promising, and may already want a bit more ground.

One runner at Vaal on Thursday. Captain Selvie in Race 7. She is maturing into a decent sprinter, but got a hefty 8 point raise for her last good win. Meets some promising younger fillies that are on the up and some hard knocking older girls. This won't be easy, but she must have a fair chance of landing her hat trick here.
