2 months 1 week agoThoughts on staging a 10-race night meet on the poly? Why not the turf or did it take too much of a beating on Gold Cup day? Poly at best throws up unpredictable results.
They've been racing at Goodwood the last couple of days and yesterday heavy thunderstorms lashed that course and they continued to race and finished the whole card....AND there's racing today and tomorrow still. I know the experts will say different soil, grass, maintenance methods, climate blah blah blah. Last week it rained overnight here in PE...not 100mm...barely enough to remember and yet the turf meeting was moved to the poly. Go Figure
