2026/27 season Hollywood Syndicate vs The Snaith Machine vs Wernars And Partners

Looking at the past season the above is my view on thee next 12 months

Champion owners for the past season with over 20 million in stakes. Hollywood have a massive string across the country, WC fills up in Summer season. They have a good looking bunch of newly minted three year olds and some smart four year  olds. Good for 200 to 250 winners. Probably looking for graded race winners.
The Snaith machine smashed everyone last season 40 million plus in stakes 8 grade 1s and a massive yard that is able to travel and win in all centres. Cant see much changing in this new season.
Wernars with  T Gujadhur and  Sewgoolam and many other partners have a massive string also well spread. Able to give Hollywood a go.

Few others to mention.
Drakenstein had a quiet season, relative to previous years.
The Blocks had an amazing season. Could win quite a few grade 1s.

SA Racing looking good next 12 months.

Interesting to see that Hollywood has all but dropped its support of some small trainers where as some trainers have received the lions share of expensive two year old's. Trainers like Muscutt, Howells and Rich who have had plenty of winners, even Grade 1's with what you would call in-expensive buys have received nothing. Of course, this is just my opinion and every owner uses their own prerogative, however, you may be well served by giving some small trainers a budget to pick a couple they like. Some horses find you and often from the most unexpected places. In the last three seasons there have been many top priced acquisitions and few to get to Grade 1 level if any. I have always looked at Hollywood and Owen as a supporter of the proverbial underdog, granted I have ever met the man, yet there seems to have been a shift.
